Submitting

Graduate students pursuing a PhD in a field related to human-robot interaction, should submit the following materials:

1. Extended abstract
An anonymized, two-page description of the applicant's past, current, or proposed work (templates available).

In particular, it should cover: Use the submission and review website of HRI Pioneers (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=hripioneers2017) to submit the abstract.

2. Curriculum Vitae
Additionally, please send a two-page curriculum vitae to [email protected]

The application process will be open until the extended deadline of November 18, 2016 (11:59PM PST).


Reviewing

The HRI Pioneers Workshop will follow a review process in which submissions will be evaluated by a number of factors including:

We hope to achieve a diversity of research topics, disciplinary backgrounds, methodological approaches, and home institutions. As such, we do not expect more than two students to be invited per institution. In addition, we especially encourage groups traditionally underrepresented in computer science to apply.


Publication & Attendance

All authors of accepted submissions are expected to attend the Pioneers Workshop and the main conference poster session, at which they will present their work as a poster.

A detailed program for the workshop and the participation guidelines for the poster session will be available after the camera-ready deadline.
